Hubert-san... this almost looks like a real counselor's office.

[It's said in a slightly hushed voice as Koutarou shuffles his way into the hallowed halls(??) for the first time. It's been an extremely busy week given all of the new classmates, new wildlife and new-old technology that keeps ambushing all of them around every turn, so he might be forgiven for only getting around to scouting out the office now.

Everything here, after all, manages to be more confusing than when he dragged himself back to school for the first time after isolation, and that's saying something.

Nevertheless, he's here and shuffling over to stare fascinated at the portrait labeled NEMESIS in the back.]

... Um, that doesn't really look like the guy you were warning us about, though.

Oh, that's because he's not.

[It's very definitely not Gamzee. It's- Koutarou might not know this because off-brand-anime WcDonalds type stuff, but. That's just Luigi. Hubert has a giant portrait of Luigi Mario in his office.]

[Well, that didn't go that bad. Surolam has been visiting HuBERT regularly the last week, continuing their dance lessons, and it's definitely been enjoyable. Still, after the races are over, she knocks at his door again.]

Yes, it IS difficult being this handsome, intelligent, talented, and an all around Wunderkind all at once, but I manage.

[It's pretty late on Saturday when Koutarou shuffles his way to Hubert's office again -- he should probably be asleep, but it has been both a very tiring day and one not at all conducive to peaceful sleep, and it seems like the wannabe party is still just winding down...

He kind of wants to get a little air (or what passes for air here, metaphorically), a little more thought in away from his classmates in murder and mayhem, and he needs to sort some things out too.

Besides, he's pretty sure the fact that AIs don't sleep has come up at least once.]

He's been gathering information on him based on what others have shared, but he's a normal man, and talking to HuBERT would be the final nail in the idea that this is all some kind of fucked up movie or fever dream, some nightmare brought on by a health code violation in some hole in the wall where he stopped to get a burger.

Basically, in coming here he's admitting that all this is real.

But he's been bothered ever since he woke up on Sunday morning - a lot of his first week here was spent processing the fact that if he didn't get out of here, he'd never know if Ethan Mars succeeded in finding his son. Except now he remembers - or dreamed - Lauren Winter coming to his apartment. Taking her with him to Kramer's mansion. Getting picked up by Kramer the elder's goons the next morning and brought to the golf course.

He remembers finding out that Ethan succeeded in the first trial, too. The burst of hope was palpable. But now he was just confused.

He enters the counselor's office and closes the door behind him.]

Those dreams on Sunday - was that your creators just fucking with us, or did that really happen?

Week 3, Post-trial

[That trial was a rough one for many, and it showed with how somber the mood was all around the building. It's with this in mind that Rokurou comes by Hubert's office. If the door isn't left entirely open or anything, he'll actually knock and speak up from the hallway instead of marching in though.]
